EXPERIENCE:
UNC Fashion Mash Program
Experiential Marketing, Product Design, Editorial • 2022 - 2023 Spring
Reinvented three iconic high fashion brands: Fendi, Fenty, and Ferragamo. Held a soft launch event and finished the year with a runway
exhibit for the North Carolina community and guests to attend.
My work included:
-Making a futuristic wallet collection for Ferragamo, a skincare-infused makeup line for Fenty, and an upcycling “Fendi Found” concept for Fendi.
- Using AI technology to create one-of-a-kind fabrics.
- Designing showrooms/storefronts.
- Creating virtual experiences and physical engagements to increase consumer interactivity with the brands
.- Designing prototypes in Adobe Illustrator.
- Creating runway looks that combine vintage Fendi pieces with nostalgic garments to show how making a brand fresh can be environmentally friendly.
Lorenzo De’ Medici - The Italian International Institute
Studied Fashion Marketing and Visual Merchandising abroad in Florence, Italy • 2023 May-August
- Learned how today's retailers adapt visual merchandising and communication strategies to meet consumer demands in the digital age. - Created realistic experiential marketing plans for fashion and beauty brands.
- Examined retail with emphasis on the US, Europe, Asia, and other global spots of new emerging markets in a comparative perspective.
- Planned and organized store windows and in-store displays that effectively communicated brand identity while keeping up with trends. - Gained knowledge of distribution, exclusivity, and franchising in the fashion industry.
- Correlated data from customer behavior, retailing, and marketing sources.
- Evaluated how different display formats, product placement, focus, spaces, materials, finishes, and props affect sales.
Conducted research on Kylie Cosmetics’ brand identity, mission, history, and target consumer. Designed a concept store collaborating with Keeping Up with the Kardashians, including a detailed floor layout and merchandise displays. Provided props and sample boards for each room that had elements such as holographic mirrors with images of the sisters that the consumer can take pictures with, a screening room to watch episodes of the show, an interactive quiz to find out which Kardashian would be their best friend, a photoshoot room showing some of the Kardashian’s most famous editorial where consumers can join them on the wall by taking a polaroid, an AI mirror that tells the consumer which lip kit compliments their skin best.
I not only gained valuable lessons and skills concerning advertising in the classroom but also on the streets of Italy. By studying abroad, I had the chance to evaluate some of the most iconic fashion houses on the planet and learn how marketing techniques can differ around the world.
